Ryuga was raised by the Dark Nebula organization and was nurtured into becoming the owner of one of the first two Beyblades to ever exist in time: L-Drago. However, after Kenta joins Ryuga on his training journey, Ryuga warms up and becomes empathetic, eventually sacrificing himself and giving Kenta his Star Fragment. He also desired to take the power of Nemesis to increase his own and become the strongest Blader. In Metal Fury, Ryuga's personality remains largely the same as it was in Metal Masters, and Ryuga refuses to join the other Legendary Bladers, in favor of increasing his own personal power through training. during the season finale, purely out of spite rather than a desire to help Gingka. ![]() Ryuga still retains his rage, which is shown when he decides to attack Hades Inc. After gaining more power with L-Drago through training, Ryuga values strength even more, in contrast to his prior cruelty. Following his defeat by Gingka, Ryuga makes the Dark Power his own through training, and largely loses the crueler aspects of his personality.īy Metal Masters Ryuga is significantly more mellow, and prefers to be alone. In the finale of the first season, it was revealed that Ryuga's cruel tendencies were caused by the influence of Lightning L-Drago and the Dark Power. Ryuga was also shown to enjoy taunting his opponents, such as when he taunted Gingka over his father's supposed death. ![]() As a result, Ryuga had no tolerance for what he viewed as weakness, including his own allies such as Doji. Ryuga enjoyed attacking his enemies' Beys until they were utterly defeated, and was shown to cocky, believing himself superior to other Bladers. Ryuga's personality is initially cruel and sadistic, and he seemed to enjoy terrorizing other Bladers. The crown and gauntlet are artifacts from the Dragon Clan, of which Ryuga is a part of. Two unique accessories are Ryuga's crown and gauntlet, which he carries L-Drago inside of. Ryuga is never shown wearing his coat with his arms in the sleeves. In Metal Fusion, Ryuga's attire was changed to a black and gold tank top underneath a white coat, along with black pants. Ryuga's original attire in the manga consisted of a ripped t-shirt and a torn cloak. Ryuga is a muscular young man with spiky white hair, amber eyes, and a slim build. In the manga, Ryuga is an ancient king of the Dragon Clan, and hundreds of years old. Ryuga's backstory and character remain mostly the same during Metal Fusion, although by Metal Masters the anime and manga diverge significantly. In Beyblade: Shogun Steel, Ryuga does not appear in the anime, following the events of the Metal Fury anime, except for a brief cameo of his silhouette. In the anime, he is joined by Kenta Yumiya, who attempts to convince him to join the main cast to defeat Nemesis. He is also one of the Four Season Bladers, holding the power of the Summer Constellation. In Beyblade: Metal Fury, Ryuga inherits one of the Star Fragments, becoming a Legendary Blader and evolving his Bey into L-Drago Destructor F:S. In Beyblade: Metal Masters, Ryuga returns with his newly evolved Meteo L-Drago LW105LF, which he evolved on his own through intense training and mastery of L-Drago's power. As the series progresses, Ryuga largely remains independent of the main cast, although he often assists them against a common enemy. He debuts as the main antagonist of the first season, Beyblade: Metal Fusion. Stand up, Ginga! Ryuga ( 竜牙 ( りゅうが ), Ryūga) is a character that appears in the Metal Saga anime and manga series.
